La camiseta recuerda al uniforme con el que debutó la Società Sportiva Ambrosiana, denominación que recibió el Inter entre 1928 y 1945 con la llegada del Fascismo. Además, renueva así los lazos que unen al club con la ciudad de Milán, ya que la cruz roja sobre el fondo blanco representa al escudo de la ciudad lombarda; y también se encuentra en el centro de la misma el scudetto que acaba de conquistar el equipo de Roberto Mancini. La marca Nike está a la derecha, y sobre el corazón figura el nuevo logo conmemorativo del centenario, y justo después está el del sponsor oficial Pirelli.
La camiseta titular para la próxima temporada se verá cuando el equipo vuelva de las vacaciones, en julio.
